The Role: Marine Fuels Sourcing – Houston
Cargill is looking for a proactive and highly organized professional to join its Houston-based team. The Marine Fuels Sourcing role involves managing the end-to-end process of bunker procurement and delivery, requiring close collaboration with both internal stakeholder networks and external supplier groups across key global regions.

Key Responsibilities
- Bunker Supply Coordination: Supervise and coordinate marine fuel supply for both internal and external clients, directly supporting the end-to-end procurement, nomination, and delivery execution processes.
- Operational Liaison: Actively liaise with vessel operators, port authorities, local agents, fuel suppliers, and independent surveyors to ensure entirely smooth and compliant bunker deliveries.
- Quality & Performance Management: Oversee the purchasing of marine fuels for the region, manage quality testing and surveyor arrangements, track consumption efficiency metrics, and spearhead the resolution of any fuel supply claims or disputes.

Candidate Profile
- Experience: Candidates must possess a minimum of four years of related work experience in shipping, logistics, or bunker operations. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required, with a Diploma in Maritime Studies being highly preferred.
- Preferred Commercial Background: Ideally, candidates will bring 6+ years of specialized bunker trading or marine fuel procurement experience, including a strong track record in commercial negotiation.
