The Role: Bunker Trader – Singapore
The successful candidate will join a dynamic trading team in Singapore, responsible for the full trading cycle from sourcing to closing deals. This role offers the chance to work with a premier global network of suppliers and customers, driving sales and making a significant commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage client and supplier relationships with key stakeholders, including shipowners, operators, charterers, physical suppliers, traders, and oil majors, to ensure high satisfaction and repeat business.
- Source, negotiate, and close bunker fuel deals with precision and professionalism.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to actively grow the company’s customer base and global market presence.
- Provide market intelligence and contribute to internal reports on fuel pricing trends, port developments, and regulatory changes.
- Coordinate with the operations department to ensure timely and compliant delivery of fuel and the prompt processing of payments.
- Monitor and manage trade-related risks, ensuring strict adherence to internal controls and international regulations.
Candidate Profile
Professional Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Economics, Business, Logistics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in bunker trading and/or marine fuels trading with a demonstrated track record of success.
- An existing client and supplier network in the bunkering industry across Asia and globally will be considered a strong advantage.
Competencies and Skillsets Required
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the agility to make nimble, informed commercial decisions.
- Expert knowledge of the bunker fuel market, global shipping routes, port operations, various marine fuels, quality standards, and international regulations.
