A Leader in Energy Transition and Marine Innovation
Louise Tricoire assumes leadership of Lubmarine following her tenure as Head of TotalEnergies’ Global Aviation and Marine Fuels Division, where she oversaw the company’s efforts to advance both sectors’ decarbonisation goals. Her work focused on sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), low-carbon marine fuels, and longer-term hydrogen-based solutions.
Previously, as Vice President of TotalEnergies Marine Fuels in Singapore, Tricoire led the company’s global bunkering operations during a pivotal period of energy transition for international shipping. She played a central role in developing and deploying biofuels, LNG, and Bio-LNG solutions to support the industry’s drive toward lower emissions.
Driving Decarbonisation Across TotalEnergies
Throughout her career, Tricoire has been instrumental in implementing TotalEnergies’ low-carbon strategy. Since 2019, she has led initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the company’s global assets, including the creation of the CO₂ Fighters Squad, an internal network dedicated to accelerating low-carbon business development.
In 2021, she became VP of TotalEnergies’ Customer Line CO₂ within the company’s OneTech Branch, tasked with scaling up decarbonisation solutions and carbon capture & storage (CCS) projects across all operational sites.
Guiding Lubmarine Toward 2030 and Beyond
With her deep understanding of the shipping industry, coupled with expertise in digitalisation and sustainable innovation, Tricoire is well-positioned to lead Lubmarine as the sector accelerates its shift toward low- and zero-carbon solutions.
“I’m honoured to lead Lubmarine at a time when the maritime industry is accelerating its transition toward low- and zero-carbon solutions,” said Tricoire. “Lubmarine is uniquely positioned to support this transformation, and I look forward to working closely with our teams, partners, and global stakeholders to deliver superior technical expertise, operational excellence, and sustainable innovation to our customers around the world.”
Lubmarine, part of TotalEnergies’ global lubricants business, provides high-performance marine lubricants and technical services to shipowners and operators in more than 100 countries, helping customers meet evolving environmental and operational demands.
Leadership Transition
Tricoire succeeds Christine Richard, who successfully led Lubmarine over the past two years and now moves into her new role as Vice-President of the Industry Lubricants Business Unit at TotalEnergies.
“Welcome aboard, Louise! We’re excited to shape the future together. Because at Lubmarine – together we go further.” the company stated in its announcement.
