Marine Fuel Trader Key Responsibilities
As a Marine Fuel Trader professional at World Fuel Services, your core responsibilities will include:
- Business Development & Market Growth:
- Actively seek new business opportunities with both existing clients and prospects to drive sales growth and increase market share.
- Develop and nurture relationships with current clients by providing exceptional customer service, understanding their specific needs, and offering customized solutions.
- Industry Knowledge & Strategic Sales:
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, market opportunities, and sustainability initiatives. This will ensure you can identify and capitalize on market shifts and customer needs.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to craft and implement effective sales strategies aimed at meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Negotiation & Client Contracts:
- Lead negotiations for contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Ensure smooth and efficient transactions by collaborating with the trading team and other internal departments.
- Reporting & Client Feedback:
- Provide regular reports on sales activities, market conditions, and client feedback to senior management, highlighting performance metrics, challenges, and opportunities.
Key Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of experience in bunker trading or a related field.
- Industry Knowledge: An in-depth understanding of the bunker trading industry, including market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and key industry players.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive Learning: Demonstrated ability to be inquisitive and proactive, with a passion for continuous learning and professional development.
- Team Collaboration: Strong ability to collaborate effectively with team members and work within a dynamic and team-oriented environment.
