Winners Announced for Marine Fuels 360 Awards by Informa Markets

Informa Markets is delighted to announce the distinguished recipients of the inaugural Marine Fuels 360 Awards 2023. The awards ceremony took place at a Gala Dinner held at the iconic Marina Bay Sands on 29 November 2023.

A total of twelve (12) open awards were presented across four sectors, namely Shipping, Bunker Trade & Supply, Decarbonisation & Technology, and Bunkering Services. These awards were meticulously evaluated by a panel of judges comprised of industry thought leaders.

Anemoi Marine Technologies claimed the highly competitive Decarbonisation Technology Award for its outstanding Rotor Sails technology. Acknowledged as an innovative, safe, and effective solution for reducing the environmental impact of the shipping industry, Anemoi’s technology holds significant potential for widespread adoption. Kim Diederichsen, CEO of Anemoi Marine Technologies, expressed gratitude, stating, “It’s an honor being here, receiving this prestigious award tonight.” The technology focuses on reducing fuel consumption and emissions on commercial vessels by harnessing wind power for auxiliary propulsion.

TFG Marine Pte Ltd was honored with the Physical Supplier of the Year Award for its exemplary leadership in the industry. Recognized for its extensive operations, proactive approach to decarbonisation, investment in technology, and commitment to transparency and customer service, TFG has delivered over 10 million tons to more than 480 clients globally in the last financial year. Soo Yong, Regional Bunker Sales, expressed gratitude, saying, “TFG is very honored to get this award, and it’s a recognition of the hard work and the good work we have done.”

In addition to the sector awards, three (3) special awards were presented to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to the bunkering industry:

  • Industry Icon Award: Mr. Choong Kien Siong, President, Equatorial Marine Fuel Management Services Pte Ltd, expressed his gratitude and commitment to adapting and reinventing in the face of the green economy.
  • CEO of the Year: Mr. Russell Hardy, Group CEO, Vitol Services Ltd, was presented the award by Captain Rishab Bahl, Managing Director of Mansel Pte Ltd, emphasizing the maritime industry’s commitment to a major decarbonisation mission and the role of Singapore in leading this effort.
  • Lifetime Achievement: Capt. Rajesh Unni, Executive Chairman, Synergy Marine Group, received the honorary Lifetime Achievement Award. He expressed gratitude for the opportunities offered by Singapore and highlighted the importance of meritocracy.
