Vopak, a global leader in storage and infrastructure solutions, has signed a significant strategic cooperation agreement with the Vice Mayor of Tianjin delegation aimed at supporting the repurposing of Vopak Tianjin’s infrastructure for new energies. This collaboration marks a crucial step towards embracing green methanol, sustainable aviation fuel, and potentially ammonia and LOHC (Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier) as part of Tianjin’s energy landscape.

The agreement outlines plans for close collaboration between Vopak and Tianjin Port Group to develop a green methanol bunkering service solution. Tianjin, renowned as the economic hub of Bohai Bay and the largest port in Northern China, is witnessing a surge in new energy projects. Consequently, it is evolving into a pivotal logistics hub for the development of these sustainable energy sources.
