Jurong Port Tank Terminals (JPTT) has completed its Phase 2 expansion, JPTT’s Expansion Adds Terminal Capacity to Support Customers Trading Activities

Jurong Port Tank Terminals (JPTT) is pleased to announce the completion of its Phase 2 expansion with a total storage capacity of around 580,000 m³.

The Phase 2 expansion is set to strengthen the clean petroleum products eco-system and connectivity created from Phase 1 with our neighboring refinery and storage terminals in Jurong Island.

Three tank farms have been added to receive clean petroleum products, providing an additional 330,000 m3 of storage capacity alongside the existing 250,000 m3 of storage. It also included the latest upgrades to the state-of-the-art infrastructure, which prospective clients can benefit from to handle their sensitive products with faster turn-around time. All six tank farms have since been fully taken up.

Operational since 2019, JPTT is a 60:40 joint venture between Jurong Port and Advario, a leading global player in the energy storage industry. JPTT adds value to customers for synergy building and operational efficiencies that are seamlessly connected by pipelines and integrated into the petroleum and petrochemical network on Jurong Island. Customers can enjoy savings in transportation and handling costs in JPTT, eliminating the need to charter vessels to transfer products between terminals and refineries on Jurong Island and JPTT.

Francis Nyan, JPTT Chairman, shared:

“The expansion of our state-of-the-art liquid bulk terminal is a significant milestone. Since starting operations in 2019, JPTT has supported the needs of our customers in the clean petroleum trading market and fortified Singapore’s position as a global energy and chemicals hub. With our partner Advario, we remain confident that JPTT’s expansion strengthens the integrated terminal network and enhances our overall value offering to the market, leveraging each other’s expertise and length of experience.”

Snehashish Chatterjee, VP, SEA said:

“We are extremely excited with the expansion of JPTT’s terminal capacity and commissioning. This significant achievement will enhance our capacity to support our partners with efficient transportation and storage solutions, while also fostering a more interconnected and collaborative industry ecosystem by leveraging the pipeline connectivity of Jurong Island. By providing greater access to the improved infrastructure and resources, we can foster better collaboration and greater synergy among industry players on the island, establishing ourselves as a frontrunner in the region.”
