The Role: Bunker Trader — London, UK
Integr8’s Bunker Traders are central to its commercial success. As part of the London trading desk, you will work closely with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to deliver tailored fuel solutions, manage risks, and secure the best commercial outcomes.
This is a performance-focused role ideal for a trader with a strong sales record and a network of commercial relationships in the marine fuel sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Development: Conduct market research, identify new prospects, and convert leads into long-term customers.
- Bunker Sales: Manage end-to-end bunker sales for third-party customers, from inquiry to delivery.
- Marketing & Promotion: Represent Integr8 to existing and potential customers in the London market and beyond.
- Supplier Relations: Negotiate and secure favorable bunker supply agreements with physical suppliers.
- Voyage Planning: Propose ideal bunkering ports based on vessel itineraries and commercial factors.
- Post-Deal Support: Handle follow-ups, coordinate invoicing, and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Platform & Process Optimization: Support continuous improvement of Integr8’s bunker trading platform.
- Risk Management: Execute trades in alignment with internal risk tolerances and apply advanced strategies such as:
- Fixed Forward Price (FFP)
- Capped Supply Contracts (CSC)
- Discounted Floating Price (DFP)
- Physical Collar Contracts (PCC)
- Exposure Reporting: Submit Daily Exposure Reports (DER) and monitor market positioning.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of bunker trading experience with a successful sales track record.
- Proven ability to develop new business and bring clients from day one.
- Strong back-to-back sales experience in a trading or brokerage environment.
Skills & Attributes:
- Commercially focused with outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, international trading environment.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and fuel pricing models.
