IBIA is pleased to announce the addition of two esteemed professionals, Sheen Mao Choong and Kasper Soerensen, to its Asia Regional Board. Both individuals bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their roles, enhancing the board’s capabilities in shaping the future of the bunker industry.
Sheen Mao Choong joins the board as the Director of Equatorial Marine Fuel Management Services PTE LTD, a leading vertically integrated physical bunker supplier. Equatorial’s prominence in the industry was underscored in 2022 when it was recognized by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) as the largest marine fuel supplier by volume in Singapore. Sheen Mao Choong’s leadership will undoubtedly enrich the board’s insights into the dynamics of the bunkering market.
Kasper Soerensen, General Manager at Hafnia Bunkers, assumes a pivotal role overseeing Hafnia’s bunker alliance in the Middle East and Asia. With over 15 years of experience in the shipping and bunkering sector, Kasper brings a depth of knowledge cultivated through various roles, including significant tenures at Bomin in Hamburg and Glencore in London and Singapore. His multifaceted background positions him well to contribute to the strategic direction of the board.
