Timothy Cosulich, the outgoing Chair of the International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA), conveyed his gratitude to members and partners as his term comes to a close. In a heartfelt message, Cosulich expressed appreciation for the collaborative efforts that have strengthened IBIA during his tenure.

Cosulich began by acknowledging the dedication of his fellow IBIA board members, who volunteered their time and expertise for the betterment of the organization. He extended special thanks to Adrian Tolson and Constantinos Capetanakis, who will assume roles as Vice Chair and Chair respectively, wishing them success in their new positions.

The Chair also expressed gratitude to the Secretariat for their firm support and to the working group members, regional board members, and all engaged members whose contributions have propelled IBIA forward.

Reflecting on the challenges faced when he assumed leadership in 2020, Cosulich recalled the organization’s precarious state and credited its survival to the generosity of companies including Fratelli Cosulich, which provided essential funding. He highlighted IBIA’s current strength, citing a capable Secretariat and robust representation at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) as indicators of progress.

In addition to recognizing the efforts of IBIA’s internal stakeholders, Cosulich paid tribute to external supporters such as Trevor Harrison, who served as a corporate secretary, and Niger Draffin, a longstanding board member.

Closing his message with well wishes for IBIA’s future, Cosulich expressed optimism for the organization’s continued success in the years ahead.

In 2010, Timothy transitioned to his family business, Fratelli Cosulich, where he serves on the Group Board of Directors and holds the role of CEO – Marine Fuels.
