The International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA), the leading voice of the global bunkering industry, has officially opened voting for the 2025 Board Elections. This pivotal event invites IBIA members worldwide to cast their votes and help steer the Association’s future. Voting begins this week and will remain open until noon GMT on Friday, 14 February 2025.

Since its inception in October 1992, IBIA has grown into a global powerhouse representing the entire bunker industry value chain. Its membership spans a diverse array of stakeholders, including shipowners, charterers, bunker suppliers, oil majors, bunker traders, brokers, surveyors, port authorities, legal experts, equipment manufacturers, and more. With consultative NGO status at the International Maritime Organization (IMO), IBIA plays a critical role in advocating for the industry’s common good in discussions with policymakers, legislators, and other industry bodies.

With offices in the UK, South Africa, and Singapore, IBIA continues to provide a vital international forum for addressing the concerns of the bunker industry while fostering professional conduct, developing standards, and advancing education.
