First operations by Knutsen’s new LNG bunkering vessel in Barcelona, stated in a post on social media.
First ever LNG bunkering for Haugesund Knutsen was done 13th of March. We had a successful operation supplying enough LNG to Costa Smeralda to sail for one week.
The vessel is one of Knutsen’s new LNG Vessel, this vessel was built at ARMON SHIPYARDS and is the first small-scale LNG vessel ever built in Spain.
The vessel Haugesund Knutsen was delivered on the 23rd of December 2022. This vessel is a 5000 m3 LNG bunkering vessel specially designed for supplying LNG to gas carriers and gas fueled vessels like cruise and ferries in the port basin of Barcelona.
Knutsen OAS Shipping entered the LNG market after delivery of the first LNG carrier in 2004.
