CPN’s growth was punctuated by several landmark operations throughout the year, most notably the completion of China’s largest single B24 biofuel bunkering operation. In May 2025, the company delivered 6,300 MT of B24-VLSFO to the container vessel XIN LOS ANGELES in Hong Kong, surpassing its own previous records. The company also expanded its product portfolio during the year, moving beyond standard B24 blends to include B30 and B100 biofuel blends.
Market Dominance and Strategic Growth
The company’s rapid scaling is reflected in its market share, where it now has a major share of the biofuel bunker market in Hong Kong. CPN noted that its first-half 2025 performance alone had already exceeded the entirety of its 2024 volume, driven by high demand from global shipping liners.
“By capturing a significant market share and expanding our reach across global ports, we are helping to make maritime decarbonization a practical reality,” the company stated.

For the bunkering industry, CPN’s 2025 performance proves that biofuel is no longer a “niche” product in Asian hubs. As the FuelEU Maritime and IMO 2023 regulations tighten, the demand for certified, large-scale biofuel supply is expected to climb further. CPN’s ability to execute massive 6,000+ MT stems suggests that the infrastructure in Hong Kong, China is now fully capable of supporting the “green shipping” ambitions of the world’s largest shipping lines.
