Anglo-Eastern LNG Bunkering Operations

Hong Kong | January 15, 2026 – Anglo-Eastern, one of the world’s largest technical ship managers, has announced the successful completion of 200,000 cubic meters (m³) of LNG bunkering operations. This milestone, achieved across more than 70 ship-to-ship and terminal-to-ship operations, highlights the rapid scaling of LNG as a primary marine fuel within the global merchant fleet.

Global Reach and Operational Scale

The company, which currently has approximately 750 vessels under full technical management, has been steadily increasing its managed fleet of LNG dual-fuel vessels. The 70+ bunkering operations were conducted across major maritime hubs in Asia, Europe, and North America, proving the global viability of the LNG supply chain.

This milestone reflects our continuous commitment to safety, decarbonisation, and operational excellence,” the company stated. “It underscores our capability and readiness to support the industry’s transition towards cleaner fuels.”

Why This Matters for the Bunkering Market

For the bunker industry, Anglo-Eastern’s achievement serves as a “proof of concept” for large-scale dual-fuel management. While many owners still debate the merits of various alternative fuels, Anglo-Eastern’s data shows that LNG has reached operational maturity.

With a port call occurring every 24 minutes across their managed fleet, the company’s shift toward LNG bunkering provides a steady and predictable demand for suppliers globally. The firm also noted that their Port State Control (PSC) deficiency rates remain 68% lower than the industry average, a critical metric for the high-safety standards required during LNG transfer operations.

Anglo-Eastern Training LNG Ammonia Bunkering

While the milestone proves the company’s current technical capacity, the ship manager is already looking toward the next generation of fuels. This operational success is underpinned by the Group’s aggressive investment in training, specifically the recent rollout of a world-first Ammonia and LNG bunkering station skid at the Anglo-Eastern Maritime Academy (AEMA) in Karjat, Mumbai.
